John Woolery Named President and General Manager of B&W Pantex

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) is pleased to announce that John Woolery has been named President and General Manager of Babcock & Wilcox Technical Services Pantex, LLC (B&W Pantex). B&W Pantex manages and operates the National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Pantex Plant near Amarillo, Texas.

John's experience in nuclear weapons program management and quality provide NNSA with a highly qualified leader who will further improve the already excellent record of safety and production at Pantex."

Woolery will assume his new duties as President and General Manager on March 5, 2010, replacing outgoing President and General Manager Greg Meyer, who is retiring from B&W.

Woolery currently serves as the Deputy General Manager for Operations at B&W Pantex with oversight responsibility for Directed Stockpile Work and Campaigns Program Management; Manufacturing; Engineering; Applied Technology; Supply Chain Management and Quality & Performance Assurance. Prior to becoming deputy, Woolery spent almost three years as the Director of Program Management for Directed Stockpile Weapons Work and Engineering & Science Campaigns. Woolery also served as the Division Manager for the Quality & Performance Assurance organization at Pantex. Prior to coming to Pantex in 2003, Woolery gained more than 14 years of experience in Department of Energy activities with Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies at the Kansas City Plant, which manufactures electrical and mechanical components and assemblies for nuclear weapons programs.
