NFS is committed to open and forthright communications with our community and other interested stakeholders. As a part of our ongoing community outreach program, NFS recently hosted an Open House at the NFS Training Center. NFS neighbors spoke directly to NFS employees about safety and security programs, NFS Safety Culture, and other topics of interest.

The NFS Speakers' Bureau is comprised of NFS employees from the Engineering, Safety, Assurance and Operations departments. These employees are available to speak at local events, or to present information to civic groups and organizations. For more information on the NFS Speakers' Bureau, contact NFS Communications Manager, Lauri Turpin at 423.735.5698 or laturpin@nuclearfuelservices.com.
NFS and its employees are heavily involved in their communities. A favorite is the annual Unicoi County Apple Festival held each October. The company's Apple Festival 4-Mile Foot Race draws hundreds of runners from the benefit to the Erwin Library. NFS also sponsored one of the festival stages in 2010 and even a display promoting fire safety.
