On Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, at approximately 3:55 p.m., the sprinkler alarm system was activated at BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada’s Toronto plant warehouse building.

The Toronto Fire Department responded and determined there was no fire, but two sprinkler heads were activated, which resulted in regular sprinkler water entering the storm sewer system.
