Laura E. Bailey
Communications Manager
Laura E. Bailey joined the Nuclear Fuel Services team in October 2016 to oversee employee communication and events, media relations, education outreach and community engagement.
Ms. Bailey has 25 years of experience in the nuclear industry. She began her career at Pantex Plant in 1995 coordinating internal communications for the site. She left Pantex in 2016 after serving in many positions within the Communications Department including deputy public affairs director.
During her time at Pantex, Ms. Bailey was selected as an internal consultant to develop the site’s Behavior Based Safety Program. In addition to her communications duties at Pantex, Ms. Bailey served as the site spokesperson and coordinator for the Emergency Public Information team in support of Emergency Management. Prior to joining the Pantex team, Ms. Bailey was a professional journalist at the Amarillo Globe-News and the Fredericksburg Standard Radio Post.
Ms. Bailey has a Bachelor of Applied Science specializing in Communications from Wayland Baptist University and a Master of Public Administration focusing on Homeland Security and Emergency Management. She also attended Lubbock Christian College and Abilene Christian University.
